A rare combination from DRC, this pseudomorph (when one mineral completely or partially replaces another mineral) began as malachite and/or barite and azurite and was replaced by chrysocolla over millions of years. The chrysocolla has been covered with micro quartz druzy and a new generation of chatoyant malachite, giving the piece lots of contrast and all over sparkle. A very large statement piece - this size is highly unusual for the material
Size: 7" x 7" - 3.4 pounds, 1560 grams
Locality: Mashamba West Mine, Kolwezi, Lualaba, DR Congo
