A rare combination from DRC, this pseudomorph (when one mineral completely or partially replaces another mineral) began as malachite and/or barite and azurite and was replaced by chrysocolla over millions of years. There is a second generation of botryoidal Malachite and all has been coated in a micro quartz druzy, giving the piece amazing all over sparkle. A very large and very complete statement piece - the size is highly unusual for the material
Size: 9" x 5.5" - 4.3 pounds, 1968 grams
Locality: Mashamba West Mine, Kolwezi, Lualaba, DR Congo
